Project Description.
Jacobs Inn, located at Talbot Place, Dublin is being transformed into a new pod style hostel accommodation. It is a collaboration between Patron Capital and CODE Pod Hostel and a new concept for the Dublin market. The aim is to provide affordable accommodation for “design conscious” travellers who value a comfortable and private nights sleep, as an alternative to city centre hotel accommodation.
The refurbishment includes 66 bedrooms and when complete, the bedroom pods will accommodate over 400 guests. The design is now the Irish benchmark for bedroom pods.
The project also includes a new trendy bar and restaurant facilities.
Cogent Associates provided Project & Cost management and Employers Representative services on this exciting new concept. A major part of the brief is to ensure the hostel remains open and trading during the construction phase.
